My First Etsy Sale

Yesterday I made my first sale on Etsy, which was something pretty special for me. Three paintings! I've sold commissioned paintings before, but never an online sale to someone I didn't know. It's good to have the chance to build my reputation in a community where I am basically faceless. Any exposure is good, but now I feel like my name is getting out there. Good things are happening!

beautiful and talented actresses of all time.

I painted this classic duo back in 2005.

I'll be posting a few portraits this week,

all painted around that time.

They're all black and white.

I prefer painting adults this way,

particularly if I'm going for a

vintage feel like with this blast from the past.

Pine Cones 4x4

 

The textures in the pine cones

and the varying shades of green in the pine needles

made this painting particularly challenging.

It took longer than anticipated,

but overall I'm happy with the outcome.
